Retail Store Management Platform

The Challenge

Small and medium retail businesses in Nigeria struggle with manual inventory tracking, no visibility into sales performance, and informal credit systems that lead to lost revenue. Spreadsheets break down at scale, stock-outs happen without warning, and tracking who owes what becomes a full-time job. The challenge was to build a platform that gives store owners real operational control without requiring technical expertise.

The Solution

Built StorMate as a focused retail management platform with three core pillars: inventory control with real-time tracking and automated reorder alerts, a sales analytics dashboard that surfaces actionable insights from daily transactions, and a credit management module that keeps precise records of customer debts. The UI is intentionally clean and fast — store owners need to move quickly, not navigate complex software.

Impact

  • Gave store owners real-time visibility into stock levels, eliminating surprise stock-outs
  • Replaced manual spreadsheet tracking with automated inventory management
  • Surfaced sales trends and performance data through clear, visual dashboards
  • Digitised credit records, reducing disputes and improving debt recovery
  • Reduced time spent on daily stock reconciliation significantly
  • Delivered a platform accessible to non-technical retail business owners
